Congratulations! He proposed, you said yes and you are on cloud nine!

Time to plan the wedding!  Relax. This is the time to enjoy this intimate and romantic time in your life. Soon family and friends will start bombarding you with questions:

“Have you set a date?”

“What type of dress are you thinking of getting?”

“Where is the wedding going to be?”

Don’t let all these questions stress you out. You will not have all the answers in the first month of your engagement. So don’t let them get to you.

Take the time to talk to your fiance in private about some of the things that both of you absolutely want for a wedding. Maybe he has special things  in mind; like his favorite band or you both want to have a simple beach wedding. Make sure you have both discussed what you want before you let the relatives and close friends take over your wedding plans. Believe me, they will try to.

Once you have taken a few weeks letting it all sink in enjoying the time with your fiance, you are ready to get serious with planning.
