Cake prices today average  about $500-.  Couples are spending  $150- for a small simple cake to over $ 1500- and more for an exquisite work of art.

What size and type of cake do you need for your wedding? Choose wisely depending on the style and size of your wedding party and do not forget your budget. If you chose to have a smaller cake you can always have sheet cake in the back. Its a lot more cost affective. Some couples have a small cake to cut at the reception and have  little take home cakes in boxes is a perfect little gift/wedding favor.  A table with a cake made of cupcakes is an idea. It all depends on your taste and budget. Remember the cake cutting part though,the one that every wedding photographer wants to take and every bride wants in her photo album.
