What Makes A Good Wedding Gift

Sometimes it is necessary to get up on my soap box and say what is on my mind . A friend of mine just had an perfectly gorgeous wedding. Every thing was just perfect right down to the last little dessert served .

The whole wedding was so amazing and memborable that I felt so lucky to be able to attend . Once the honeymoon was over , my friend and her new husband went over to her mother’s home to open all the gifts. There were so many gifts that they were all stacked up throught the room . I was in charge of keeping track of who gave what for later reflection and a thank you card . No problem . In the beginning I was just taking notes and enjoying the atmosphere. As the list grew I realized that everything on it was plain Jane . There were nice items, don’t get me wrong , these gifts were all the typical gifts a new couple would expect to get .

No real surprised hidden in the pile. There were all the household practical items that would be a great help as the new couple got started in life. There were the gift cards and the cash that would undoubtedly be very well used and appreciated . I was saddened to see that there were no personalized wedding gifts for bride and groom. In my mind  personalized wedding gifts are something that every couple should have. When the practical items have all been put away or worn out form years of use, what will the couple have left?

It’s not hard if you search online to find something unique for any couple. Something they wouldn’t go out and By for themselves. So I’ve said my piece, make it special, make it unique, make it something they won’t have to think…who gaves this to us.
